We meet every fourth Tuesday of the month excepting December and June. Bring your mixes to share or just bring your ears to listen and give encouragement. And learn from each other. It's awesome!!

As you know, my goal with the Mixer Mixer is to help build an awesome mixing and engineering community in Lafayette. We had a tremendous mixer mixer last month. In addition to sharing mixes, we drilled down on genres. Specifically Spotify genres for mixer mixer participants. Why is this important? Because if you know your Spotify genre then you can target your ads for YOUR music to the fans of the biggest artists in YOUR genre. The crazy thing is that Spotify has over 6000 genres. So I showed those that attended how we can find out what your Spotify genre is and what artists…

Hey everyone,

A quick reminder that we meet tomorrow, Tuesday, August 22, at the recording studio at TAF. Our meeting starts at 730pm.

In addition to listening and encouraging each other with our mixes we'll also do a shallow dive into musical genres. I've learned about some really cool tools to help you identify your own genre and other artists in your genre and I wish to share them with you. This is really helpful when you are releasing music on streaming services like Spotify.

Sorry for the short notice but I have to cancel the Mixer Mixer for tonight. :(

So the next Mixer Mixer is July 25th, right in the heart of our workshop week! Which means hopefully I can get Ronan, Steven, and Liz to the next Mixer Mixer! How cool would that be!

It is with a heavy heart that I'm writing this email as my buddy Yeti, the Lhasa Apso has passed. She was awesome and my constant companion in my studio at home. Yeti was over eighteen years old and my wife and I are so grateful for the time we had with her.
